Happy new year to all my family and friends, near and far! I hope you started 2019 surrounded by love, peace and happiness.
Over the past couple of days, I have been asked if I had new resolutions for 2019. Well…yes and no.
Yes, because I can always do more and do better. One thing I haven’t done in 2018 but did for many years is to volunteer, to give back to the community in which I live. In France, I volunteered with women from North Africa who couldn’t read nor write. In Korea, I helped raise money for orphanages. In Hong Kong, I read for the blind. In Riyadh, I worked with disabled young adults. So, the challenge is on. In New York, I still have to find my unique way of helping and giving back. But I have a few ideas…
No, because the resolutions are not new, rather a continuation of what I’ve done (or tried to do) so far. As my dear friend Lisa said, it’s also about acknowledging regrets, being kind to oneself and going forward. I agree with her. So, I’d like to continue expanding my fitness business, keeping in shape (and loose a few pounds!) and meditating, writing another novel, cherishing my family and friends, learning and growing, traveling and discovering…and so much more. 2019 will be busy!
What are your regrets, how can you be kind to yourself and make 2019 even better and richer than 2018?
Wishing you the best,
