On Writing

I believe books don’t change. We do. What we read at the age of twenty will resonate differently twenty years later. Because in the meantime we have learned, loved, cried, lost, traveled, grown.

I recently re-read a few books by Paulo Coelho and this quote jumped at me. It resonated with my life, my own journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

This quote doesn’t express sadness to me, but hope. A promise of happiness. Because writing is a wonderful therapy. Creating characters allows us writers to escape, dream and put our emotions at the service of fiction.

To my fellow authors, keep on shedding those tears. To all of you, why not channel your inner writer?

Have a beautiful day,

Evelyne
