This is my first time at the WDC and what an amazing pool of talent, information and networking it is! Workshops, conferences, keynote speakers, editors, agents and publishers from all over the country and abroad. I overheard ladies talking about jetlag (they came from California), while I took the subway from Lexington to 57th, three stops!
Once again, I am struck by the sheer talent and brilliance New York attracts. Exciting, thrilling but also humbling. I realized yesterday there are hundreds, thousands, millions of writers like me out there…sobering, to say the least. But we all share the same passion and drive: to write, share, tell a story, inspire, make people laugh, dream…
So, I will keep on writing and learning. I know that a book is more than the sum of its words: it’s also networking, building one’s platform, marketing and improving metadata!
Whatever your plans for the day, enjoy today…I have another full day of workshops and conferences. And a subway to catch.
Here is the link to the conference, see you there!
Inspired yours,
