I chose this photo because it encapsulates everything I love: reading, writing, having a cup of tea (with a piece or two of dark chocolate) and contemplating.
Little getaway in the Poconos
Reading in French and in English. Laughing, crying and learning. Discovering new authors, published and self-published, because they all deserve a fair chance. And although I am a member of several online book clubs, and take the members’ suggestions into consideration, I also want to make my own choices. Yes, it sometimes means being disappointed. But it also means the possibility of discovering little gems.
Writing short stories, novels and screenplays because I’m blessed with a vivid imagination. My friend Justin calls me “the idea generator”. Stories come to life around me, from a lady sitting opposite me on the subway, the old man staring at a portrait at the Metropolitan Museum, a word I hear on the street, a person’s facial expression in a store.
Drinking tea because after living ten years in Asia, I have become a tea enthusiast. I like them all, black, green, white, Oolong and even the fermented Pu’er! Right now, as I write, I am sipping a green tea, pomegranate and rose petals blend. You should try, it is amazing!
And contemplating, well because there is a lot to reflect on, especially as 2020 comes to an end. It’s been a challenging year for many, no doubt. But it’s also been a time to reassess, appreciate what we have and get ready for a new, healthy 2021.
I’d like to wish all my readers and followers, friends and family a happy, healthy new year. Thank you for your trust, your friendship and support. Let’s make 2021 a better, stronger year!

Thank you Evelyne! Thinking about the fun day we had on the Japanese food tour. I’m missing those experiences and meeting lovely new people. One day we’ll meet again and won’t that be great! HAPPY NEW YEAR!😘
